Charles J. Boykin, Esq. Named Legal Services Professional of the Year

An 18-year veteran of the legal profession, Charles J. Boykin is respected for his knowledge of employment and school law. He is a senior partner at Boykin & Davis, a law firm that specializes in legal services for school districts, governmental entities and other nonprofit service organizations. Committed to serving the public, Mr. Boykin draws on his expertise to handle litigation and caseloads related to construction, labor and employment, local government, and school law. He relishes being part of a firm that appreciates the role that school districts, government agencies and nonprofit organizations play in the community. He attributes his success to his steadfastness and to the support of his colleagues.
Mr. Boykin received his JD in 1992 and his master's degree in public administration in 1977, both from the University of South Carolina. He also holds a bachelor of arts, earned in 1974 from Benedict College. His professional affiliations include the South Carolina Bar, the American Bar Association, and the National Bar Association. He currently sits as chairman of the Legal Services Corporation.
