New Wet Polisher from Metabo Offers More Power, Highest Speed Range

Ideal for Stone-cutting and Kitchen-fitting Applications

WEST CHESTER, PA, May 20, 2011 /Building and Construction PR News/ -- Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, now offers a 4" wet polisher that provides the most power and highest speed range of any wet polisher on the market. The PWE11-100 is ideal for polishing and finishing natural stone, artificial stone and concrete.

The new polisher includes Metabo's VTC (Vario Tacho Constamatic) electronic speed stabilization for increased productivity under the heaviest operating conditions. The PWE11-100 features a long-lasting 9.6 A motor with 1,100 W of power, 34 inch-lbs of torque and a no-load speed of 1,700 rpm to 5,400 rpm. This enables the PWE11-100 to polish twice as fast as an air polisher and gives the tool the ability to drive 1-3/8" core bits for faucet installations.

The new wet polisher provides consistent results, essential in decorative stone and concrete applications. A central water supply spreads water evenly over the polishing pad through a spindle and the polisher's solid 1/4 turn valve easily controls water flow. The easy to use tool features a quick connect external water supply fitting, an adjustable, ergonomic D-handle for comfortable operation as well as sturdy, die-cast aluminum gear housing with protective cover.

In addition to incorporating Metabo's unique dust-deflection winding protection grid, one of the most effective dust protection systems on the market, the PWE11-100 also features overload protection, an electric soft-start with an encapsulated on/off switch, enclosed carbon brush holders to protect against electrical shorts and a GFCI integrated into the power cord for electrical safety during wet grinding.
