Rabine Group companies provide complimentary Paving Services for a Cause
Rabine Paving and Pavement Solutions improves Yancey Boys and Girls Club of Chicago's sidewalk by providing complimentary concrete and asphalt pavement services.
SCHAUMBURG, IL, May 20, 2011 /Building and Construction PR News/ -- Rabine Group's prime pavement companies, Rabine Paving and Pavement Solutions recently donated raw materials and provided complimentary concrete and asphalt pavement services to improve the sidewalks of Yancey Boys and Girls Club of Chicago. Seven employees and management executives from the Rabine Group participated in this project. Nick Congiusti, project manager at Rabine Group's office in Belvidere, Illinois, coordinated the participation within the company. Among those who volunteered were: Keith Griffin (VP Operations), Mike Ward (project manager at the Richmond office), Phil Keller (general manager at the Belvidere office), as well as several crew members from the Rabine Paving team.
According to Congiusti, "This is not the first time we have partnered with Integrys Energy Group for charity." He explains, "We have participated in a similar job three years ago so we are well aware of their advocacy. When People's Gas asked us if we wanted to participate in a paving job this year, we immediately agreed. We have the resources and the manpower, and this is our way of giving back to the community."
The Rabine Group team widened the sidewalk to the building's main entrance, milled and paved 18 sections of asphalt, paved a 20 by 16 feet 2 inch concrete overlay, filled approximately 700 linear feet of cracks and seal coated approximately 7,500 square feet. These improvements will provide a safer playground and recreation area for the youth of Yancey Boys and Girls Club of Chicago.
People's Gas, an Integrys Energy Group company and a long time client of the Rabine Group, facilitated this charity project for the benefit of the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago - a non-profit organization advocating helping young people in economically challenged neighborhoods escape from violence, peer pressure and everyday struggles.
